Baha Peninsula Mexico

There are so many fabulous places to go in Mexico, but perhaps the most magical is Mulege on the Baha. I drove down there with a friend and my daughter in a Dodge van that was camped out for our long trek from Canada. Getting to Mag Bay on the Sea of Cortez, where this picture was taken, meant driving on washboard gravel for about 50 miles, but it was worth it. We were there in March, while the gray whales were calving and mating, so it was quite something to see. It's also a great location for kayaking.

On the Baha you can camp out anywhere. Here we are in Mulege with a camping buddy with a puffer fish she had caught that day.
