Ho-Chi Minh's stilt house Hanoi

This is the stilt-house where Uncle Ho preferred to live, rather than in the palatial digs next door. Walking through here was like strolling through the Garden of Eden: peaceful and tranquil. It was hard to imagine that all Uncle Ho's creative war plans probably took place here. He wanted freedom for his people and he traveled and lived amongst them, greeting everyone equally - or so I've heard from the many stories people have told me about him. Living in such a simple and inspirational place such as the stilt-house, it's easy to believe all the stories of Uncle Ho's simplicity and humility.
