Hue - Royal Citadel

This is the Royal Citadel in Hue. It was bombed by the Americans during the Vietnam War and they were still putting it back together when I was there. I stayed at Ty's Guesthouse on Le Loi St. and the sisters that ran the place told me of running terrified for underground bunkers during the bombing. These pictures are of the gate, the construction going on at the Palace, the designs on some of the buildings, and the gardens.
