Not too far south of Hue is the small town of Hoi-An, a textile town on the Thu Bon River, where you can buy tailor-made clothing and shoes for great prices. It was boiling hot when we got there and loads of road construction was going on so it was dusty and dirty. I imagine once the work was done and the temperature dropped it'd be fantastic. We stayed at a fantastic hotel with pool and I stayed in the water for hours every day. I loved it! I tried to teach Nicki how to swim, she'd never been swimming before. As usual, we rented a scooter and went to the beach, which wasn't too far. Here's Nicki enjoying a good lunch in town. The restaurants were fabulous in Hoi-An. The food is the best in Vietnam.

There were also many lanterns like this being sold because of the Chinese influence in the town. I wanted to buy a few, but then, I didn't want to have to carry them around.

The Phuoc An River. It ran alongside the town; you could take boat tours if you wanted.

Just some of the many restaurants along the waterfront at night.
