Battambang is a battered town on the way to Siem Reap. Not too many travelers come here because there's actually not much here. It's a very poor little town and like every other village in Cambodia, it is still suffering the effects of the Pol Pot regime. You can take a boat from Battambang to Siem Reap and I've read that it's a beautiful trip.
